A new look — same heart.
Four years ago, I sold my very first vintage designer bag. I posted a cute packing video, and the response was unexpectedly overwhelming. That tiny moment became the beginning of everything.
2022
After that video, more requests started coming in. I had created an Instagram account by then with a simple logo, and within no time a few thousand people were following along. I officially registered my business, threw myself into learning everything about authenticating designer bags, and taught myself every skill I needed along the way.
Next to my full-time job, I spent every spare moment searching for new gems. And without really planning it, Sundays became the day I shared all my new finds in my stories. A little weekly ritual that quietly became the heart of my small business, and later grew into what we now know as The Shop Drop.
2023
It became clear that things were growing faster than I had expected. Every Sunday, more people tuned in, more questions, and more orders followed. I was working 14 hours a day, packing orders on the floor of my tiny apartment.
That’s when I realised it was time for a website. A place where people could browse in their own time, discover new pieces, and feel the same excitement I felt when I found them. It was the next step, even though I had no idea yet where it would all lead.
It was also the year I quit my fulltime job. The scariest decision of my life. I invested my own savings, upgraded systems, and took steps that felt huge and honestly terrifying.
2024
Suddenly, big influencers started following me and sharing their unboxing videos. Every Sunday, the website crashed because so many people were waiting for the new drop. Each drop sold out within minutes.
The drops kept getting bigger too, 40 to 50 bags every Sunday. And I was still doing it all on my own. On my personal Instagram, I shared little sneak peeks for my loyal customers, giving them a chance to look over my shoulder and see the treasures I had found. What started as something small would later become my signature moment: the Saturday Sneak Peek, unlocked only with a secret password.
2025
When 2025 began, it finally hit me. GYDB had grown into one of the biggest designer resellers in the Netherlands and Belgium. Something I never dared to dream of when I first started. Just like I never imagined organizing a pop-up in the heart of Amsterdam, with a line out the door, hundreds of people showing up, and selling out all our bags within hours.
And after years of doing absolutely everything on my own, it was finally time to expand the team. Why I waited so long… I’m not even sure. Maybe it felt scary to let go, or to trust that someone else could care as deeply as I did. But bringing a team on board turned out to be the best decision I’ve ever made. Now, I honestly can’t imagine doing this without them. <3
And now, as we step into 2026, it’s time for a full rebranding. A fresh chapter for a brand that has grown up, evolved, and finally feels ready for its next era.
BUT, WHAT IS CHANGING?
GYDB is not only about becoming more business-focused. It’s about giving structure to the heart we already had.
Putting the finishing touches on something that was always meant to grow.
We said goodbye to our soft pink branding. Beautiful, but no longer “us”. It felt too cute, too girly, too small-business for where we are now.
We now signature with a warm, rich cobalt blue. A colour that truly reflects who we’ve grown into. A shade that stands for everything GYDB represents today: authentic, trustworthy, luxurious, warm and confident. A grown, stronger version of the brand, without losing the heart behind it.
Our visual identity received a full upgrade. We now have fixed typography, multiple logo formats, and a new icon: GYDB. Even our tagline evolved from “Giving vintage designer bags a new home” to
“Where vintage finds it’s future.”
We’re turning our signature Sneak Peek moment into something bigger and more meaningful. The core of GYDB. And the secret password to access it will now be sent every Saturday at 10:00 to all members.
Our Sunday Shop Drop now goes live at 10:00 instead of 12:00. A calmer, more intentional moment, and more accessible for everyone.

We’re raising our standards even further: focus on designers, better condition, better quality, the best prices. Because GYDB should be where you find the most beautiful vintage treasures for every budget.

We’ve upgraded everything. Safer, prettier, more thoughtful and now styled with our warm cobalt blue. Because unboxing your dream bag should feel just as special as finding it.
After doing everything alone for years, it no longer feels right to tell this story as if it’s just mine. GYDB is now built together with a team of young, creative, energetic women who pour just as much love into this brand as I do.
You’ll start seeing more faces, more behind-the-scenes and more real moments. We even rent a professional photo studio now, so our visuals finally match the level we’re growing into. Still clean, still elevated, but always warm and personal.
Our Members Club is becoming more important than ever. It’s our inner circle with so many people who have been here from the beginning. This year, being a member will come with even more value, benefits and exclusive moments.
It will be the core of GYDB.
