There is no shortcut when it comes to authenticity. With years of experience and thousands of bags passing through our hands, our team knows exactly what to look for and how to verify it, detail by detail — stitching, hardware, materials, stamps.

The way we work

Every bag passes through the same five checks, from sourcing to your doorstep.

Sourcing

Every bag comes to us through a trusted source. From our carefully selected sellers and consignment partners, or through our own Sell service. Before we buy or accept a piece, we perform a first online check, looking at both authenticity and condition. We’re selective about what makes the cut: no major signs of wear, because only the most beautiful pre-loved treasures deserve a place in our collection.

Inspection

Once a bag arrives, the real hands-on check begins. Stitching, hardware, leather and lining are carefully inspected, one by one. These tiny details can reveal so much about a bag — and after handling thousands of designer pieces over the years, we know exactly what to look for. If there’s even the slightest doubt about its authenticity, it will never become part of our collection.

Authentication

Next, we dive into the brand-specific details. Date codes, serial numbers, stamps and markings are carefully checked against our brand-specific knowledge. Because a Chanel, Louis Vuitton or Gucci isn’t authenticated the same way — every fashion house has its own codes, techniques and details that need to be exactly right. We never rely on just one detail: everything has to add up before we’re confident in a bag’s authenticity.

Approved

Only when we’re 100% confident in both authenticity and condition does a bag earn its place in our collection. It’s then carefully photographed and listed, with every sign of wear shown exactly as it is. We believe there should be no surprises when buying a preloved or vintage designer bag. Every detail is shown honestly, so you know exactly what you’re buying before it arrives. And if there’s anything else you’d like to know or see? Just ask — we’re always happy to help. ♡

Yours

Once your bag is sold, we carefully wrap your new treasure like a gift. Every bag comes with its own GYDB certificate of authenticity, featuring its unique code — because we guarantee the authenticity of your new treasure with 100% certainty. Keep your certificate safe, as it’s also valuable to have if you ever decide to resell your bag. And of course, your bag comes with a GYDB dust bag, so you can store your new treasure safely at home.
